Kairn is a collection of porcelain tiles by Novoceram inspired by Portland stone. This limestone native to the United Kingdom has shaped centuries of architecture, leaving its mark on prestigious buildings such as St Paul’s Cathedral in London, the façade of Buckingham Palace and the United Nations headquarters in New York.
Novoceram’s interpretation favoured the counter-grain cut, which restores the most elegant and recognisable appearance of the original stone, with its wealth of detail and typical variety of graphics running across its surface.
The compact and uniform grain of the Portland stone can be found in all the colour declinations of Kairn: Natural, which faithfully reproduces the warm grey shade of the original material; Gris, which is inspired by the cement shade to reinvent a darker and more modern version; and finally Sable, a proposal with warmer tones.
Kairn is available in 9.0 thickness in sizes 120×120, 60×120, 80×80, 60×60 and 30×60 with R10 – B finish.
For outdoor use, the range is completed by the sizes 60×120 Outdoor Plus and 60×60 Outdoor Plus in 20 mm thickness with structured finish and R11 – C non-slip characteristics. The colours available for these formats are Natural and Sable.
