The main criterion for selecting wall tiles is their resistance to moisture, as they are constantly exposed to water and cosmetics (soap, shower gel, shampoo, etc.). The ideal model has the ability to prevent the formation of mould and stains, and keeps the shower in impeccable condition.
The resistance of wall tiles is confirmed by the UPEC classification (Wear – Punching – Water and moisture – Chemical products). But when it comes to checking its ability to withstand the water and cosmetics used in the bathroom, the E and C ratings are the ones to look out for. When it comes to durability and whether its structure remains intact in the event of impact or other damage, look out for the U and P ratings. All these letters are followed by a number that determines the tile’s performance. Normally, the UPEC classification is shown on the product data sheet (e.g. U4 P3 E2 C2), but this doesn’t have to be the case, as some certifications already confirm these characteristics.
In fact, our wall tiles for walk-in showers comply with ISO 10545. Our products have also been awarded ISO 9001, ISO 50001 and ISO 14001 certification, guaranteeing their quality.
