Novoceram, French ceramic producer since 1863, unveils a collection of tiles in coloured body porcelain stoneware for indoor and outdoor use, and gives a contemporary touch to wood look wall and floor tiles.

Abéa is a collection of tiles in coloured body porcelain stoneware that Novoceram, French ceramic producer since 1863, has designed for interior and exterior floors and walls.

The Abéa collection accurately replicates the nature, warmth and comfort of oak trees down to the smallest detail. In this way, the grains, knots and even the finest fibres that all characterise natural wood, are reproduced with a surprising realism and enhance the surface of tiles. Some lighter shades than the essence of Abéa fill in the wood cracks with finesse, but do not give it a rustic look.

The saturated colours of Abéa define its unique identity and clearly become its distinctive feature. Indeed, Abéa even replicates the most subtle gold and warm tones of natural wood, and offers an extremely faithful and bright result. The four colours of the collection are the following: Abéa Miel, with warm and honey shades that recall natural oak trees, Abéa lin which has bright tones, Abéa craie, a whitened oak tree that does not lose its charm or richness, and Abéa cendre, which creates a more intimate and elegant effect thanks to its grey tones.

Abéa comes in the various traditional wood planks sizes, such as the 20×120 cm for indoor use and the 30×120 cm for outdoor use. This latter as well as the 60×60 format are both available in the Outdoor Plus range, which includes tiles that have a 2-cm thickness.

OUR CERTIFICATIONS

– ISO EN 9001 : norm that sets out the requirements related to the company’s quality management system that is part of a continual improvement at all levels which include: customer relations, willingness to communicate, internal organisation, relations with suppliers and production processes.
– ISO EN 14001 : norm that sets out the requirements related to the environmental management system, based on environmental commitment, on strict standards and increasingly ambitious goals that the company has implemented to control and reduce its impact on the environment and to improve its performance continuously.
– ISO EN 50001 : norm that sets out the requirements related to energy management systems. This certification, driven by the wish to better control and optimise energy consumption, is the logical continuation of a continual improvement approach and an environmental commitment.

PRODUCT CERTIFICATIONS

– Indoor emissions : index which measures emissions of volatile substances posing a risk of inhalation toxicity. All our tiles are assigned A +, – the best note in this classification. Furthermore, as they do not contain Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs), they even outperform all the requirements of the A+ classification.

– Novoceram products are involved in obtaining various ecological certifications for the construction industry such as the American certification, LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design). Novoceram has also commissioned the PEF (Environmental Performance Footprint) and EPD (Environmental Product Declaration) of its products, which indicate the potential environmental impact of a product throughout its entire life cycle.
