At Cersaie 2013, International Exhibition of Ceramic Tile and Bathroom Furnishings, Novoceram launched TALM, a collection made of five colors in colored in body porcelain stoneware for flooring and four colors coordinated for wall covering in red body.
Talm is a new material inspired by slabs with reflections metallescent of oxidized metal, concrete industrial floors, resin, recreated and reinterpreted in ceramics. The surface – rich of micro details – presents a considerable variability both within the single piece, both between one tile and the other.
Talm refers to the trend of interior design of industrial loft style – initially introduced for large projects of renovation of real industrial spaces adapted to different purposes – now is increasingly spreading in the furnishing of spaces commercial and private homes.
On the surface of the tile is applied the transparent material of glassy origin which ensures excellent resistance to wear and to scratching. The same material, reflecting the light in a particular way, produces the metal effect that evokes the etched metal that is the source of inspiration of the series.
This optical irregularities of the surface also helps to make less visible dirt and stains.
In the version in porcelain stoneware for floor coverings, Talm is available in 60×60 cm, 30×60 cm and 45×45 cm declined in five colors:
Ivoire: an elegant and bright ivory
Gris: a light gray that can be interpreted either as an etched metal sheet and as concrete
Taupe: a warm shade of gray-beige color turning to rusty
Plomb:an intense lead-gray iridescent
Métal: a dark color that recalls the dark shades of steel sheets.
Four colours in red body for wall coverings in 25×45 cm size are coordinated to the five colours for floor covering:
Ivoire: light neutral color
Métal: dark color
Gris: light grey
Taupe: light taupe.
